What Makes SKB Different
SKB is more than a place to train. It is a community.
Many of the people who help make SKB possible are volunteers, including our trustees. They give their time because they believe in what this community has become.
Many of us have also been part of SKB for years. We have trained together, supported one another and developed genuine friendships along the way. That history has shaped the kind of club we want SKB to remain.
We are a charitable trust, not a commercial gym. Our purpose is not to maximise profit, but to keep Muay Thai affordable, welcoming and accessible, while creating a place where people can feel safe, supported and connected.
Everyone is welcome.
SKB brings together people of different ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, nationalities, cultures and faiths. Our community includes young people and adults, international and domestic students, migrants and people from many different backgrounds.
Learn Muay Thai in your own way.
We provide a friendly and supportive environment to learn Muay Thai, whether you are completely new to the sport or have trained for years. Members are encouraged to learn at their own pace, respect their own boundaries and respect the learning journey of others.
More than physical training.
Through Muay Thai, we hope members can develop fitness and self-defence skills, but also confidence, discipline and resilience. What matters to us is supporting the whole person and recognising that everyone comes to training with different needs, abilities and goals.
Community comes first.
The friendships, trust and camaraderie that have grown through SKB are at the heart of who we are. We train together, but we also look out for one another.
